Franz (Drappier) is a well-known author. Titles such as Lester Cockney, Thomas Noland (with D. Pecqueur), and Poupée d’Ivoire attest to his strong reputation.

In all of his stories—whether working alone or with a scriptwriter—one can feel, in both his line work and his storytelling, an emotion and a sincerity that are ultimately quite rare in comics.

Here, in this poignant and visually superb western, where all the great cinematic influences of the genre come together, he lets his true nature flow freely. What he offers us to read is no longer merely good Franz, but truly great Franz.
